What’s the fun by changing the facts? Why on earth, they didn’t teach us the correct meaning for all that? From what I know it’s always have been the other way around from whatever I learnt in my schooling days regarding Malaysia! Isn’t this jeopardizing everything? Gosh, lucky me, I found the book, and I am still 22. Guess what would happen if one day my grandchildren start to ask me when they really have found the REAL meanings of colour of the Jalur Gemilang?
Okay, let me just re-write everything which I found shocking from the book.
“ The red and white bands date back to a revolt in the 13th Century. The star and crescent are symbols of Islam. The blue represent Malaysia’s role in the Commonwealth.”
From what I have learnt on the part regarding the star and crescent is the exactly tallies with each other. All this while I have known blue is for unity and the red means bravery and white means purity. But now since I have read about this, I am going to start telling everyone regarding this! So why don’t you also do the same? At least, unanimously, we would be aligned with the unexceptional truth! Indeed a visit to the British Council did help me a little.
