Office Chaos.

Accounted few times in reading I have done this vastly but surely growing topic has been something that I observed for the past one year of me being a career guy. I have worked in few different environments for the past one year and encountered many incidents in this working world.
Let me brief you through with the Office Chaos that I went through.
My first step of career world started in a construction company in quite small town. Biggest problem with the company is the management and how they manage it. Surprising as it is, there is no proper way of management and I was simply multi-tasking the job of a receptionist, accountant and also an engineer. Result is unknown! Why? It's a pandemonium environment! I end up leaving the job and stay at home. (Seems to be being unemployed is less troublesome rather than being in a mayhem environment! .)

After a month of unemployment, I went on with a better engineering job than the first one at one MNC company. Everything is good here in terms of management but what spoils it, is the colleague there! I was like being placed in Mars. Not being discriminative but I was placed among Chinese speaking Chinese. To my dismay I was the one and only non-Chinese around! Result is being unemployed after four days at work, because I was having mental torture of not speaking to anyone around. (Again I feel it's better to stop the mental torture rather than changing into wacko)
Next stop is a total different field of work than my qualification. Provided with my communication skill I bagged the work of being a Lecturer cum Trainer at another MNC company. Giving training on management courses was not an easy task but I enjoyed doing it. But I end up resigning from the job for the top management attitude of not meeting the deadlines properly and being a pain for all the employees! (Long story on the employer, and loads of personal matter involved! Damn he!)
And now currently I am again in a MNC company and I constantly find myself in a dilemma of higher management constantly engaging in power clash! (Almost like Clash of the Titans) Supervisor A gives work to Supervisor B's team and keep on pestering for work to be done, and leaving the Supervisor's A team left without any work. Supervisor B tries to take revenge and bring up the matter and there you go, a grouping unofficially! Team Pro-A and Team Pro-B! Guess that it's a never ending story!
For some it may be very normal and lame scenario day in and day out! But for those who is going to step their foot to working world, Welcome to the Who Will Survive Here reality game show! Hypocrisy is the trick to win the game! Play your cards well and I am sure you will be liked by everyone.
p / s: No particular people is been pin-point but as long as there is office politics there will be bedlam!

~Glee and Bliss~

Looking at all the bedtime stories I have read and even normal novels that I lay my eyes on, it’s a known fact that everything finishes with a happy ending. But is this for real? Is there such happy ending in our current life? Happy-ending seems to be far-fetched when we look back to what is happening around us day in and day out.

Apparently, from what I know contentment is very subjective! There is no exact measurement for joy, but it’s all about how one accepts the bliss that shines upon them. As for me, I think my life is full with glee and I am always delighted with what I have in life! Of course, there will be complaints arise at times, but its matter of getting over with the phase.

At times I do ponder and get myself stuck with all those sad moments that I went through. Those were the days that taught me a lot of impossible to become more possible and I manage to get through all the obstacles with much faith on the Three-Lettered-Guy and personas around me. During my bad times, I am sure that I will get the support that I need from my family and friends. Never once I was left alone in the process of me to be a better man.

I always thank God for giving me such a loving family and also understanding friends. Life itself has been my greatest guru and I always cherish the moments that I go through. We can’t guarantee a smooth sailing in an open sea, but as long as you can, you wish that you have the sufficient strength and also the courage to overcome the impediments ahead.

Probably it’s time for me to thank those wonderful people in my life as I am happy to be with them and I have never failed to make those people comprehend that I appreciate their presence in the part and parcel of my life. Indeed, God do answers to prayers said, and it’s a proven scenario in my life. Love the friends that I have around and also my family who has been my backbone for who I am today.

I am what I am today, is all because of all of you!

Absurd?!

Smooth sailing is what usually a captain of a boat wishes for, but journey made is not easy since there are rough waters to beat down the calm waters! Tidal waves keep on hitting the one lonely boat that sails in the middle of nowhere! The boat lost its balance and everything goes haywire. The captain is held only to his faith to maneuver the boat back to the calmness it was travelling, but since this is not the first tidal wave hits the boat, the captain losses his patience. Patience is virtue but in this case patience has been a big thing to settle down with. What happens next is still a big question mark, but as long as I know, the captain needs to survive. I know he will!

How nice if life is as the picture above? Calm and smooth all the way!
But its only picture perfect!

regards!

Controversial but Comprehendible!

For all I know, I am still skeptical on the matter I wanted to post this time. It may contradict with others. As for me, it is becoming more and more norm scenario and in-thing for current life. With much courage collected, let me bring to you, the topic of this entry.
SEX!

What? Sex? Oh my, we are not allowed to speak this in public? No way I am going to speak about this? Are you nuts?

These are some of the mockery that people use every time the topic is being raised. But why is it so? I am still vague on this. Of all I know, since small I have known the topic sex or even talking about sexual agendas has been a taboo in Malaysia! Lame as it may sound, the more people hide it, the more will be self-revealed!

As we are moving towards the technology era, I think, this isn’t becoming anymore forbidden-state of topic to be discussed. Sexuality is becoming more and more hard stuff to decide for. I have seen many incidents, or come to hear about people having hard time to reveal their self. Let’s not talk about the western culture, but being in Malaysia, I have seen vast incidents related to the topic being discussed here.

Homosexual (this includes gays, lesbians and bisexuals) and Transgender is a daily scene nowadays. Seriously speaking, I have nothing against them and I don’t discriminate people for their choice and preference in life. But for some, this clan has been a disgrace for the society. As far as I know, this people never had harmed anyone in particular. Apparently, due to normal people like us, they had to hide the true identity and live in hypocrisy. My sympathy goes to them who still need to hide in their closet on their sexuality.

The media, especially some movies produced nowadays to bring this back-alley-society to the day light just to show them that its okay to be what they are. For instance, the movie broke back mountain showcases two guys passionately kisses each other had been a controversial movie yet. (I came to know the existence of the movie in one of the publication of The Star two months ago). Besides that, the production of Bollywood and Kollywood has been venturing into bringing this people out of the closets in their recent production of Dostana and also Goa. Salute to those producers who dare enough to produce the life of this people and make us together laugh rather than getting disgusted with it.

When actually Malaysians can be really open towards sexuality and sex related topic? After such a big fuss over sex education at school, apparently it is been getting positive comments on its relatedness to educating people regarding sex. This sex education reminds me of incident back when I was in secondary school, where form three science is the first step of learning on reproductive system. All my male classmates took the initiative of approaching our science teacher, Ms. Salmah to ask question related to sex! Being a mother of 4 sons, she took a deep breath and said its time for her to learn how to adapt to this kind of question and started explaining for each question being asked. Kudos to her, for taking a big leap and come out of her comfort zone and teach us.

Its time for all this to be a normal thing in our daily routine and chores but don’t get the picture wrong. I didn’t mean that this is something that everyone should practice but just give a look on what is actually happening around us. These people who have had sexuality problem needs attention to be given not being peculated about. After all they are also human and they have feelings. Stop discriminating and let’s not cross the borders of their path. As I always say, Love all Serve all!

p/s: Controversial topic as I said, and I speculate there will be a lot of speculation regarding the topic and also the writer itself! As I said, its still a taboo to talk about this and the person who talks about this get labeled! Sigh!

Any suggestions needed at your Office??

I laughed and laughed non-stop reading this at my cubicle in my office!
If only my boss knows this!

Innocent Integrity

Talking about 1Malaysia, it has been the hottest agenda covered by the mass media lately. Implication of this campaign brought a lot of speculation of how far it’s going to be effective in this current circumstance. With the most up-to-date news of holy-places been burnt or stoned, this plan is at the edge of being ruined. Me being the guy that politics seems to be far-fetched still thinks that the idea of 1Malaysia is noble and also very much Malaysian-lah!

Being brought up in a very harmony sort of neighbourhood has been a great teacher for me. I still miss my old neighbourhood where all the races sit together under the mango tree just to eat unripe mango with ‘kuah-cecah’ (local delight which is similar to mayonnaise-dip) is a norm scenario. I grew up in a very ‘muhibbah’ condition where my neighbours were mostly Malays. I have learnt and adapted myself with loads of Malay’s culture. For your dismay, I even went to a Surau/Madrasah for my kindergarten. I learnt how to write in Jawi and also said ‘doa makan’ before getting my hands on the mouth-watering nasi lemak!

Growing up in my neighbourhood was a great experience where I cherish and rejoice all the moments till now. During Chinese New Year I use to follow the Lion Dance Troop around my neighbourhood as well as I light up loads of ‘Tanglongs’ (lanterns) during the Moon Cake Festival. Additional to the above scenario, I used to light up ‘Aagal Vilakku’ (oil lamp) during the Deepavali Festival. All this has been a common picture in my neighbourhood.

But recently since I started my alma-mater years and continue my stay here at Metropolitan city, I hardly see this kind of togetherness. I do see some so called togetherness of people coming together for some other reason which doesn’t seems to be holding up with the urge of government for the plan of 1Malaysia. Everything seems to be online nowadays! Kids nowadays seems to be spending more time playing online games rather than keeping up the old traditional games such as ‘batu sambut’, ‘congkak’, ‘aci-ligan/kejar-kejar’, ‘sepak takraw’ and ‘toi’. Teenagers at the present time seem to be hooked up with online applications and deal everything online. For instance, if you go to any Old Town White Coffee near your area, you can see adolescence surfing online for facebook, application games and online dating. So how can we achieve the togetherness with such scenario’s existence? I am not asking for a full-stop for all this but let’s reminisce about past games, and make it a habit at least to attempt those games. You might be surprised that you may hook up with those games!

Government have done a lot to bring the togetherness in our life as Malaysian! Right from day one, we all are thought of living in a harmony life of many races staying together at one neighbourhood. Let’s not make the small issue to be the ‘firewall’ for break of 1Malaysia’s target! Think twice before executing any actions! Live life to the fullest! Befriend more people from all races and you can see difference in you! Love all Serve All!

Safety down the Drain!

As I compose this entry for my blog, I am still baffled with the most important aspect of our life, the affirmation of the safety in our daily routine or chores! I just came back from my favourite mamak stall near my place, to have my meal. (Some place with the weirdest yet delicious roti canai varieties) My visit to the mamak’s always filled with hoaxes and laughter but this time it was sombre and rather quiet. Puzzled came unfold when my favourite waiter there; Bro Sharabuddin, with ‘pail-full’ of tears held on eyes, said to me that few minutes before, his room was broken into by some unscrupulous people who manage to fleet with his cash that he kept to send back to his family in India.

Where is the justice? Where is the so-called safety? Everything seems to be down the drain and only sounds Greek. For all I know, I grew up in a closely-tied neighbourhood that I never came across this sort of incidents. *touchwood* To my dismay, he said the incident happened when the mamak’s was in service and during the sardine-packed-hour. The place of incident was just few metres away from the stall! How inconsiderate these buggers can be?

For what I know, I am scared to even wait at traffic lights nowadays regardless whatever time I am in. Everything has to be extra-carefully-given-attention-to! Feels like the crime rate is choking us day by day! Where is the justice?

Where would you consider save in this day and age? NO where!! The law is taken granted for! Even air-split-unit for air conditioners needs grill to safeguard its position! Sigh! I pray for some peace and no-more cases of snatch-theft, house break-in or even daylight robbery!

But is this possible?

I am keeping my fingers crossed! And people out there, be extra vigilant, not towards H1N1 only but extra chary with the happenings around you! God bless everyone!

Perfect Strangers with Perfect Love Story!

Do you believe in destiny? You may have come across many circumstances you yourself questioning regarding the existence of destiny. Well I am convinced more this time that destiny really does happen in life and I have two real-life incidents regarding this story! Friendship and love is inexorable occurrence in our life.

Earlier today, I thought it would be just another lame and quiet visit to my launderette like usual, but I was totally wrong. Happens to be, when I arrived at the place, there was another young woman waiting for her laundry. So I loaded two of the machines there with my cloths and was inserting the coins to kick-start the cycle, when there was this impulsive urge for me to just start the conversation with the lady by jesting about the ‘efficiency’ of the machine. (Thanks to Leil Lowndes for her book which inspired me to be more people’s person).

And there you go, being quite the chatterbox, I started talking with her. Little that I know, a small mockery would lead to know two good souls. This Ms. R came with Mr. A to the launderette together and I was happy to actually know this two wonderful people to talk with at the quite a boring place to be at. There you go, time flies so fast and without realising we spoke fairly vast topics covering from studies till love life. (And due to some royalty issue I am running off from paying, I’m not disclosing the real name of the person! Lol)

So talking about the love story, I wish I meet someone in life, since the story was very nice to listen, and I am darn sure that it will be more vital to endure! They were a very loving couple and I had fun time knowing them both. Let me brief through the love story of this handsome-couple. Being an independent and extrovert person, Ms. R was at a club one fine evening dancing with her perfect hangout-buddies; her cousins. While happily showing her moves on the dance floor she notices a bald guy looking at her which in this case its Mr. A. Probably he was awed and mesmerized with glow of love in his heart looking at the dancing-queen on the dance floor . (Love at first sight I presume)

With some good fortitude kept, both of them manage to exchange numbers at the end of the day. Guess what made Mr. A bagged the number, his chivalrousness. (Lesson #1: To make a woman respects you and like you, treat them with full respect). So after few meet up, the love oath was taken. And she explained why she likes him. He was being who he is and she could easily be herself, and there was no hypocrisy. No faking-it-up attitude. (Lesson #2: Be yourself when you are with a woman) Devotion happened in this story when Mr. A manages to comment on Ms. R’s flaw and they laughed together during one of their rendezvous. (Lesson #3: Love is a situation where couples can exchange comments on each other and laugh about it together).

Destiny does exist! First, I became friend to them with just a minor hoax to kick-up the conversation and second when I got to know their perfect love story, I knew, they were ‘destined’ to fall in love. Indeed, a good time spent at the launderette. And my saviour of the day is my good buddy, Zati Hanani, who managed to find the way to the launderette at the correct time to accompany me. (Thanks Zati, I know you will read this) I manage to laugh and talk a lot the whole day.

I hope that these new found friends of mine will be staying happy always while I keep my finger crossed that I would end up in a good relationship when the right time comes. Still pondering on the love story that I heard today, well explained by both of them. Kudos to both of you!

Green Light or It’s Just a False Alarm??

Many times I came across of love stories of my friend and how their fantasy-world started just with a stare then a mere smile to start a conversation which will lead to a great date and a happily ever after marriage. In my case, it happened but always gets stuck in the midst of blossoming. Funny is the perfect word to describe how people can mistake infatuation with love and friendship with flirts.

Today, I was taken aback when my good buddy suddenly out of blues gave me two situations to answer. The scenario to answer was like a déjà-vu for me due to my experience on this matter. So let me walk you through the scenario and the answer I gave!

Beep... beep! My phone’s message tone went on, and there it was a message from my close buddy.

1st SMS/ Scenario 1: Can I ask you something, just wanted to know what a guy things la. You see this girl that you like down the hallway. She is walking in the opposite direction towards you la. You then make an eye contact and smile at her. She smiles back at you. After both of you pass-by each other, would you turn and look? And why do you do that? If that girl does not turn and look, what impression would you have?

After asking the permission to answer this question a bit later, I ponder what actually I would do (in this case what I did before once upon a time). So I replied as what I did and what should a guy do.

My reply: I would definitely turn and look at her, only after I shout mutely. I would turn because she is THE girl that I like. Then if she didn’t turn back I would still be happy for the moments that she smiled and tell myself two possible rationales of the happening.

1. She smiles because I smiled at her. She isn’t egoistic after all!
2. Damn, the guy that going to end up with the girl, going to be lucky!

After minutes passed by, another message came from my buddy, giving me a tricky and tough situation to handle!

2nd SMS/ Scenario 2: Okay. So if that girl turns and looks? How would you take it? As a green light to approach her?

Being the vigilant person, I replied promptly.

My reply again: Probably not approach her yet. Just the next ‘pass-by moment’ I would chip in ‘hi there...’ Green light is only presumed is she greets back and stops to talk to me. After all Rome wasn’t built in one day, so do relationship!

She was convinced and I am still sceptical who is actually giving her the hints! All the lucks for her and the flirting process! Anyways, if you were at that circumstances what would you do, to tackle this situation? At least my friend will get some guidelines on what she should think and so on so forth!

Contemplating the Resolution!

It’s coming to year end now, and everyone is busy preparing for the countdown and also welcoming of the New Year! And in the midst of this particular process, I realise that almost all and sundry complaints on the resolution for the fresh year ahead. I see many of them cracking their head for the perfect resolution.
Why it’s so important?
I wonder and wonder. For not being so old fashioned, I used to follow the trend of ‘MUST’ have a resolution for the new year, but this year I am knocking some sense and forbid myself from having one dim-witted resolution that I know I won’t follow. I strongly think that this act of having a decree for the bright months ahead can be like a speed-breaker in life! Why a need for that when we can follow the flow of life? Take a chill pill and enjoy every bit of life the way it is.
I still grin and laugh at times looking at facebook status updates that relates to New Year resolution.
Will they follow what they say??
As the saying goes, practise what you preach, so for those who have talked the talk, make sure you walk the walk. As for me, I walk carefree and enjoy every bit of my time and space I have for myself!

Anyways, for those who had some spare time to read this entry, I wish you guys a blessed year ahead. Many more success will bestowed you by the Almighty! For those I know personally, I would take this opportunity to ask for forgiveness for the past year and I hope I hope histories are not repeated! God bless us all.

Sure or Not??

I was walking like one innocent kid in Little India of Perak, while enjoying looking at wonders of Textiles and admiring the gaudily dressed mannequins where all of a sudden a bunting caught my attention! First glance on this streamer, you won’t notice anything wrong with it.

Now look at it again!

So if you wanted to feel bright, go to this launderette since ‘they will launder you bright’!

*laughing out loud*

Do You Need an Answer??

Recollecting the past incident all of us go through, makes me wonder again and again on the possibilities of two souls meet by chance, become friends by destiny and clad hands together and walk down the years ecstatically. Indeed it’s an unexplainable phenomenon, but sometimes people just pause and gaze, thinking on the rough potential cause of the being.

The word ‘how’ seems to be hard to answer in this case. The best thing we could do is that just enjoys the moment and endures it without hassling on how it happened. Friendship is just another ship that you should sail with loads of care and handle it properly to avoid it from sinking.

When two souls become friends, it’s actually a step closer to be in the loop of trust and this TRUST is a vital component in determining the lasting of the relationship regardless of the type of relationship that you are in. From what I am going through, I never thought I could draw this far in life with the amount of good friends I have.

Shifting from a student’s life to working world was tough job to juggle, and I think with the amount of good souls I meet over at workplace I am happy to endure my working world. Thanks to Him for giving me good souls to accompany me in this phase of life. Undeniably everything happened unexplainably fine. I have already put some of them in the circle of trust and I hope I am not forgotten in the process of the other party discovering their verve.

Regards
